Looking for a fun way to practice reading or writing words during Phonics? Then this is for you. Kym's Game is a memory game where pupils have to remember which picture is missing. It can be used as a writing activity or which the word boards as a reading activity. Pupils identify which picture they think is missing by either writing or cover the word on the word boards. Challenge slides are included for each game to solve. Take a look at our video preview to see a game in action! Our Phase 5 version includes 192 slides which make up 15 games covering words from the word list in the Letters and Sounds document. Some sounds have been combined into one game. Please note that there is no game for the split digraph e-e.

There are four picture boards in total. This pack have over 100 phoneme frames covering CCVC, CVCC, CCCVC and CCV words. The pack has been divided into two sections: Using set 1-7 sounds and Using Phase 3 sounds. These can be used as part of your phonic lessons, as a table top activity or for interventions. ​

This pack contain over 140 basket and egg themed phoneme frames. This cover words from Set 6 and 7 as well as consonant digraphs and the vowel digraphs and trigraphs as covered in Phase 3 of Letters and Sounds. This can be used during your phonic lessons, as an activity on the table or in interventions.

The aliens are all my own design and those who have the same sound but a different way of writing it are the same shaped alien but a different colour, helping to identify sound families. This carries over to the Phase 5 version. There is an alien for each sound and 6 sets of underwear (vest and underpants). Vests have real words and the underpants have nonsense words. This resource has been designed to be open ended and used in many ways. Some ideas for how to use are listed below: Matching – match either vest or underpants or even both to the alien that has the sound that’s in the words. Pick a pair – match a vest and underpants that contain the same sound. Or match the alien to either the vest or the underpants. Sorting – sort the alien words from the real words. Bingo – pick either a vest or underpants and read the word. Hold up the alien whose sound is in the word. Display – make a washing line, place an alien next to it. Sort out which underwear belongs to him and hang it on the line. A fun resource to practice pseudo words and phonics that will fit into your Alien or space topics.

Sounds boards combine two lots of sounds as well as sound boards (word time! 1& 2, word time! 3&; 4, word time 5& 6). Words are also included for Word Time! 7 which are over a few boards. Either label cars with the words or sounds for a matching activity or sound out the word or say the sound and players park their car in the correct bay. Alternative use the word boards and players park their car in the bay that rhymes with the word you say.

These are based on the Year 2 Common Exception Words for the new National Curriculum. Each word will have a Dino Delve (find the word 10 times). Also there are Dino Dares which have groups of the Common Exception Words to find and a Dino Disaster where the words are jumbled up. There are two version of this a cut and stick and a written version.

This come with the PowerPoint which is an adult led activity. Macros need to be enabled for it to work, you may get a message to enable if they aren't.
